Eagles France camp, Togo friendly cancelled
Super Eagles’ proposed training camp in Paris, France after the May 26 friendly game against Corsica has been called off.
Also the friendly against Togo has also been cancelled due to logistics. The three-time African champions were scheduled to hold a training camp in Paris but an official in the NFF disclosed that the plan has been shelved and the players and the officials will now return to Abuja after the Corsica friendly.
The source also disclosed that the team upon their return will be given a few days off while a new list of players that will prosecute the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa on June 10 in Uyo will be announced.
Meanwhile, Austria-based Kayode Olanrewaju has been ruled out of the May 26 friendly against Corsica due to club commitments. Olanrewaju is expected to lead Austrian Wein’s bid to maintain their second spot in the Austrian Bundesliga behind run-away leaders Salzburg who they host on May 25, a day before the Corsica friendly and in the final game away at Admira Modeling
