A political support group in Delta State, the Global Initiative Support Group for Sheriff 2027, will inaugurate coordinators and canvassers across the state’s 25 local government areas on Friday as it begins mobilisation for the 2027 elections.
The ceremony is scheduled for 10am at Oharisi Primary School, Ughelli, and will be conducted by the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Solomon Arenyeka.
The group’s convener, Festus Ahon; chairman, Josiah Ntekume; and secretary, Abednego Dikame, announced the event in a statement issued in Asaba on Monday.
The organisers said the inauguration would prepare members to mobilise voters in urban centres, rural communities and riverine areas for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, as well as other APC candidates.
The group urged its members and supporters to attend the ceremony, saying it was ready to canvass votes for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
