Agreement
By accessing or using Galaxy TV’s consumer digital services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or create legal risk.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringing content.
- Submit fabricated eyewitness material or impersonate others.
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape at abusive rates, or reverse-engineer the service except as allowed by law.
- Use the service to distribute malware, spam, or unsolicited commercial messages.
User content & contributions
When you submit stories, media, comments, or other content, you grant Galaxy TV a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, moderate, edit for house style, publish, distribute, and archive that content in connection with our news and broadcast services.
You represent that you have the rights needed to grant this licence and that your submission is truthful to the best of your knowledge. Editorial acceptance is never guaranteed; Galaxy TV may reject, edit, or remove content at its discretion.
Contributor rewards
Where contributor rewards (airtime or cash) are offered, they are discretionary, subject to eligibility, verification, and programme rules published in the product. Rewards may be withheld for policy violations, duplicate submissions, or failed payout verification.
Memberships & payments
Paid plans, when available, are billed through our payment partner. Fees, renewal, and cancellation terms are shown at checkout. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.
Intellectual property
Galaxy TV branding, site design, programme brands, and editorial content are owned by Galaxy Television or its licensors. You may not copy or redistribute our content except for personal, non-commercial viewing or as expressly permitted (for example, share links to public articles).
Disclaimers
Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Live streams, schedules, and third-party feeds may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Galaxy TV and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the services. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the services is limited to the greater of ₦10,000 or the amounts you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Courts in Lagos State have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.
