Wike assures adequate security
The Rivers state government says it is doing everything within its powers and available resources to ensure that the state is secure, safe and peaceful for residents and visitors to do business.
In a state broadcast to people of the state, Governor Nyesom Wike said he is seriously concerned with the recent activities of members of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), particularly the attack on citizens in some parts of the state.
Governor Wike said the people of the state subscribe to Nigeria’s corporate existence and its indivisibility.
Meanwhile, Governor Wike tasked the people to be vigilant and not to allow themselves to be used by anybody to perpetrate trouble in the state.
He however urged everyone to be law abiding and leave in peace with one another.
