Bayelsa Governor Receives 10 Rescued Expatriates
The Bayelsa State Government in collaboration with security agencies in the state has secured the release of ten foreigners that were kidnapped and taken to Bayelsa State.
Governor Douye Diri who disclosed this while receiving them at Government House, Yenagoa said his administration will not give room for kidnappers to carry out their unlawful activities in the state.
The governor while condemning the attack of the foreigners appreciated security agencies in the state for their display of professionalism in securing the release of the foreigners.
Senator Douye Diri who described the people of Bayelsa as hospitable called on foreign investors to join hands with the prosperity administration by investing in the state; while the Nigerian agent to the foreigners spoke on the incident.
Our correspondent reports that the victims were heading to Cameroon before they were kidnapped along the Pennington River.
