The Ondo State Police Command has arrested four officers seen in a viral video making ethnically offensive remarks during a stop-and-search operation on the Lagos-Benin Expressway.

Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, said on Saturday that the officers were identified and taken into custody after the video circulated online.

The officers include: ASP Elomore Sodayo, Inspector Adefila Adewale, Inspector Olorunfemi Opeyemi, and Inspector Odusola Peter.

Commissioner of Police Felix Ohagwu has ordered a full investigation into the incident.

Jimoh said the Force will not condone conduct that erodes public trust or promotes ethnic division.

He said the probe will be fair transparent, accountable and reiterated the command's commitment to professional and community oriented policing.
