Community Appeal Against Land Encroachment By Government Agency in Bayelsa
The People of Tunuama, a Community in Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, have appealed to the Bayelsa State government to come to their aid over neglect and Encroachment by the National Integrated Power Project into their land.
They also lamented over lack of health and education centers in the community, and demanded urgent intervention by the state government. The Community Development Chairman, Isaac Ipatolo, the youth president, as well as the women leader, said education system in the community, among others, have been affected as a result of the Encroachment of the community land by the government agency.
Meanwhile, the community leaders would only expect a quick intervention by the Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, in alleviating their suffering.
