The National Orientation Agency has sued for a harmonious relationship among all ethnic groups in Oyo state and Nigeria at large for peace and progress.

The Director of the Agency in Oyo State, Moshood Olaleye who made the appeal after he led a delegation to some religious centres in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital decried the extent of damage at Shasha market in Ibadan.

Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that Olaleye urged residents to see themselves as one irrespective of their ethnic or religious affiliation saying all hands must be on deck for the development of the state and Nigeria at large.

Some of the religious leaders who spoke during the visit to their worship centres urged residents to be united and shun all acts that could lead to ethnic violence.

They also called on the state government to always be proactive and ensure the safety of lives and property in the state.
