The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expanded President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign council with additional appointments across its directorates, mobilisation structures and operational units.
The party announced the supplementary list on Wednesday in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, as preparations for the 2027 general election gather pace.
The APC said the appointments were intended to broaden the council’s composition and strengthen coordination among its various departments.
The supplementary list builds on earlier appointments made since August, when Tinubu was named chairman of the council, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, serving as vice-chairmen.
Former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari was named director-general, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma was appointed secretary.
A revised list released in October expanded the council’s reach beyond the party’s core membership, incorporating political figures from outside the APC.
Among them were Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, appointed coordinator for Rivers State and the FCT; Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, named coordinator for Osun; and Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, appointed coordinator for Anambra.
The council was formally inaugurated on October 14 at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Previous expansions introduced directorates covering election planning and monitoring, infrastructure mobilisation, health, civil society, new media, extractive industries, entertainment, security and intelligence, artisans, labour relations and faith-based groups.
In announcing the latest additions, the APC reiterated its commitment to effective coordination across the council as it prepares for the next general election.
The party released details of the new appointments through its official channels
