The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has presented instruments of Office to Oba Samuel Adegbola, as the Eleruwa of Eruwaland, Ibarapa East Local Government.

Governor Makinde presented the instruments today, at the Executive council Chamber, Secretariat, Agodi, and Ibadan.  Makinde, revealed that he approved the appointment of Oba Adegbola as recommended by the Kingmakers from Eruwaland to return to the path of development.

Governor Makinde while reaffirming that his administration will not interfere with the affair of traditional institutions, charged other ruling parties to rather keep their money rather than heading to court. The Governor highlighted his effort to resolve the issue since 2019, admitting that traditional rulers play vital roles in the security architecture and preservation of culture and heritage.

In his acceptance speech, the newly crowned Eleruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola, pledged to work for the reconciliation of Eruwa people and join hands with other traditional rulers for the progress of the state.  Eleruwa stool has remained vacant since Ọba Adegbola who was installed in 1998 was deposed on 29th November, 2019 by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
