An uncle of the late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as ToluwaniSings, has called for an impartial investigation into his death, warning against interference or attempts to conceal relevant facts.

The man, Lawal Ademola, made the appeal during an interview with Dunmininu Kingdom, shared on Facebook on Monday, urging government officials, community leaders and law enforcement agencies to ensure that the investigation was conducted fairly.

He said nobody should be shielded from scrutiny or victimised, stressing that the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death had deeply affected the family.

“Please enforce the law and empower the investigation so that there won’t be biased judgments or victimisation,” he said.

In a separate video, Ademola recounted a disagreement among relatives over the singer’s burial arrangements following his death.

He said he had wanted the singer to be buried at the house where he lived with his wife and children, but his wife opposed the proposal, citing the emotional difficulty of having her husband’s body at home and the presence of their children.

According to Ademola, some relatives subsequently suggested taking the body to Ikirun for burial, but the wife also objected, describing the location as too far.

The man referred to the singer as Sodiq, his birth name in his Muslim family.

ToluwaniSings’ death was confirmed by his family on October 14, 2026. Reports surrounding his death have also included allegations that he was taken to eight hospitals before he died.

Ademola’s call for an impartial investigation comes amid public attention surrounding the singer’s death and the subsequent disagreements over his burial.
