Comedians Ayobami Ajewole, popularly known as Woli Agba, and Olamide Oladimeji, also known as Dele Omo Woli, have threatened legal action against social media users and media platforms circulating allegations linking them to the death of gospel minister Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings.

Their solicitors, Gemgold Solicitors, issued a public notice dated October 23, 2026, describing the allegations as false, unsubstantiated and damaging to their clients’ reputations.

The notice, shared by Woli Agba on Instagram on Sunday, warned that individuals who originated, published, forwarded or endorsed the allegations could face legal consequences.

“Our clients’ attention has been drawn to certain defamatory publications and online broadcasts containing false, baseless, and malicious allegations against them,” the solicitors stated.

They specifically denied the allegations associating the two entertainers with Toluwanisings’ death, describing them as unfounded.

The lawyers also warned that users operating anonymous or untraceable accounts would not be exempt from liability for circulating defamatory content.

They urged members of the public to stop publishing or sharing unverified allegations about the comedians and remove any offending material previously posted on their personal pages, blogs or social media platforms.

The notice stated that legal action could include claims for substantial damages and court orders restraining further publication.

“Any individual, blog, media platform, or social media user who continues to publish, re-circulate, or broadcast false and defamatory content against our clients will face swift legal action,” it added.

The development comes amid wider controversy over online allegations linking gospel artistes to the deaths of Toluwanisings and other gospel ministers.

Gospel singer Tope Alabi has also threatened legal action over publications allegedly linking her to the deaths.

Her solicitors, Oakmount Legal Practitioners, issued a cease-and-desist letter dated October 24, 2026, to a Canada-based pastor identified as Tayo Kumuyi, also known as Pastor Tayo Ministries.

The letter demanded the removal of the disputed publications, a retraction and an apology within 24 hours.

The legal threats highlight growing tensions over online claims surrounding the gospel music community and warnings by artistes against the circulation of allegations they consider defamatory.
