The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) women’s volleyball team began their campaign in the second phase of the 2026 CGC Volleyball Premier League with a convincing 3-0 victory over NAF Rockets.
The match played at the indoor Sports Hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, saw Customs dominate all three sets to secure a comfortable victory.
Customs won the first set 25-16 before repeating the same scoreline in the second set to take a commanding 2-0 lead.
The team completed the sweep with a 25-9 victory in the third set, underlining its dominance over NAF Rockets.
Suleiman Ajeigbe, Customs’ women’s team coach, said the victory was a positive start as the team targeted wins throughout the competition.
Ajeigbe said the players were determined to maintain their winning mentality and deliver strong performances in honour of the Comptroller-General of Customs.
“We are looking up to the Comptroller-General of Customs to ensure that every match must be a win for us.
“Just like we did in 2025, we are here again, we always give everybody what they deserve.
“It is a good start for us, we dedicate our full swing to the Comptroller-General of Customs,” he said.
The 2026 CGC Volleyball Premier League second phase began on Oct. 16, with teams competing for honours in the national competition.
