We had a productive and engaging interactive session with young people across Ogun State at “THE GEN Z ASKS… YAYI LISTENS” held at the Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, where we discussed our plans for youth employment, infrastructure, education, entrepreneurship and good governance.

The Ogun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Solomon Adeola Yayi, has reaffirmed his commitment to creating employment opportunities by leveraging Ogun State’s industrial strength, attracting investments and strengthening partnerships with industries to prioritise qualified Ogun youths for employment.

He also pledged to reposition the entertainment, culture, and creative industries; expand empowerment and vocational training programmes across the 20 local government areas; and prioritise road construction, rehabilitation, and improved educational facilities.

While acknowledging Governor Dapo Abiodun's developmental achievements, he assured young people that his administration would consolidate these gains and deliver even greater results.

In a statement, Yayi said, "Importantly, we committed to holding quarterly interactive engagements with Ogun Gen Zs to promote transparency, accountability and youth participation in governance. We also proposed a dedicated command centre through which residents can report challenges and receive government attention.

"We appreciate Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji for sharing his inspiring experience and encouraging our youths to believe in their talents and pursue success through hard work.

"Our message remains clear: “If we can do it as a senator, we will do more as governor. We have set a standard that we can only improve upon. Hold us responsible.”

"Together, we will build an Ogun State where young people have the opportunities, support and enabling environment to succeed."
