Residents laments bad state of roads

Residents of the popular Okotie community in the Warri South local government area of Delta state have called on the Delta state government to come to their aid.

The residents called on the Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration to rescue them from the menace of the deplorable roads in the state. They maintained that the roads in the state are giving them sleepless nights.

The residents made the call while speaking with Galaxy Tv correspondent who visited the road, one year after the former Warri South council chairman promised to draw the attention of the state government towards the now abandoned road.

Speaking on the abandoned road as broken down vehicles were visible on both sides, a community leader and elder lament the sorry state of the road.

Residents who spoke with newsmen, called for the urgent attention from the state government as they find it difficult to sleep during the rainy season.

Meanwhile, school children walk a distance to get taxis on their way to school as motorists now look for alternative routes because of the bad road.
