Reps Pledge Support for the Airforce
The House of Representatives has pledged to support to the Nigerian Airforce in its quest to achieve a high standard of professionalism and commended the federal government for the almost one hundred percent release of 2020 budget of the Nigerian Airforce.
Chairman House Committee on Airforce gave the assurance to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshall Abubakar Sadiq and the Commandant of the Airforce Institute of Technology Air Vice Marshall Abdulganiyu Olabisi during a budget defence session.
Presenting the 2021 budget before members, Chief of the Air Staff emphasized the need for more funding for the Airforce to achieve the National task of defending the territorial integrity of the country against both internal and external aggression.
Sadiq said he is looking forward to the approval of their budget which is already before the committee.
The insurgency in the Northeast and the armed banditry in the Northwest has necessitated the fortification of the Airforce.
