Ondo Police nab killer of Fulani man

Ondo state command of the Nigeria police has arrested one Adedoyin Olusegun for killing a Fulani man with his local rifle in the Akoko area of the state.

The murder suspect was said to have shot his Fulani victim in the bush and took to his heels when he realised he had shot at a human being instead of a Guinea fowl.

Speaking with newsmen on the matter, the state police public relation officer, Femi Joseph said the story the man gave is not tenable and will soon be charged to court for murder.

Speaking in Yoruba language, Adedoyin Olusegun said he had no issue with the Fulani man that he only made a mistake by shooting at the bush with the hope of killing a monkey.

":when I was coming from my farm I heard sound of a guinea fowl and wanted to kill it but when I aim at the area I thought the guinea fowl should be and shot at it then I realized I have shot at a human being," Olusegun narrates.
