The Senior Special Adviser to the Delta state governor on conflict resolution and immediate past chairman of the Okpe local government area of Delta state, Mr. Godwin Ejiyere, has called on youths in the council area to shun the use of arms during elections.

He made the call during a sensitization program he organized for his constituency youths to work towards returning governor Ifeanyi Okowa in the 2019 governorship elections.

Addressing the youths and party leaders, governor Okowa,s adviser on conflict resolution said the youths can return the governor without taking up arms.

Speaking further, he urged the youths to shun politics of bitterness in the discharge of their duties during elections.

The youths and party leaders later took to the streets of the community to preach peace and support for the Okowa's administration.
