After a three day intensive search, the Ogun state police command has revealed that seven kidnapped victims along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway have been rescued from captivity.

Recall that son of the CMD, Lafia Hospital and two hospital staff were waylaid by suspected kidnappers and abducted along Lagos -Ibadan expressway.

Briefing newsmen on the development, Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama said that thorough surveillance was embarked upon following the kidnap of another set of victims as against the three persons earlier reported.

The Police Boss said one of the kidnappers arrested by the police is an ex-convict, who specializes in kidnapping victims along that axis.

The Commissioner of Police, however, reiterated that the state will not be a safe haven for kidnappers in the state.
