NSCDC uncovers tunnel used by oil thieves

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps Rivers State command have uncovered a tunnel at Ogali community in Eleme local government area of the state used by oil thieves to siphon premium Motor Spirit (Petrol).


The discovery which led to the arrest of a suspected oil thief Luka Famaah and parade of nineteen suspects already in custody saw officers touring facilities put in place by oil thieves.

Leading newsmen round the spot where the tunnel was, the assistant commandant general of NSCDC Mohammed Haruna spoke on the discovery. 

He calls on members of the public to always provide useful information as the public relations officer spoke on the environmental effect.

The NNPC pipeline was said to be supplying fuel to Aba in Abia state, Enugu and Makurdi in Benue state before the oil thieves breached it.
