The Navy have gone tough against crude oil theft in Nigeria. The Nigerian Navy Ship Pathfinder, accordingly, destroyed three illegal Refining Sites in the Egbema, Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area, Rivers State.

The operation, according to the Nigerian Navy, was successful following credible intelligence on the continued activities of criminals in the area. The Navy discovered pits where the culprits hid about 85,000 liters of refined crude oil products suspected to be Automotive Gas Oil, known as diesel.
