EFCC Appeal to UK Government to Return Diezani
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has appealed to the British Government to release former Petroleum Minister, Allison Diezani to face alleged stealing of over $2.5bn from Nigeria.
The acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu made the appeal at an interactive session with the media in Kaduna on Monday, ahead of the passing out parade of EFCC personnel at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna tomorrow.
Ibrahim Magu said he has visited the United Kingdom government on several occasions calling for the release of Diezani Allison so as to face the law here in Nigeria.
The EFCC chairman also said that training and retraining of personnel is one of the major ways that can lead to the success of anti-corruption crude.
Ibrahim Magu also said that the EFCC is looking at ways to rehabilitate yahoo boys so that they can be reinstated back into society.
