Dickson reassures Bayelsans of democracy

The governor of Bayelsa state Seriake Dickson has urged the people of Bayelsa state to expect more dividends of democracy as he signs the 2018 appropriation bill into law.


The governor made the remarks at the government house executive council chambers in Yenagoa, after signing the N316 Billion budget for the 2018 fiscal year.

Speaking on the benefits of the appropriation bill, governor Dickson said it will help fast-track more development to the already existing infrastructure.

On his part, the speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Hon. Benson Kombowei spoke on the increase in the initial budget of N295 Billion with an additional twenty-one billion.

In attendance at the budget signing were the deputy governor, lawmakers as well as members of the state executive council.
