Court dismisses PRP suit on Ondo LG dissolution
A Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, the Ondo state capital has dismissed the suit filed by the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) challenging the dissolution of the executives of 18 local councils in the state by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
PRP through its counsel had approached the court that the party was not giving fair hearing at the state hight court, noting that the court imposed a counsel on the party.
In its judgment, the three-man panel ruled that PRP was giving fair hearing, adding that the decision to change the counsel at the lower court remains extant.
Justice Obande Ogbuinaya who read the verdict on behalf of the panel said the judgment of the lower court in dissolving the local councils is in order.
