President Muhammadu Buhari’s presentation of the 2020 budget estimates Tuesday has been generating reactions from a cross-section of Senators in the Nigerian Parliament, with the talk of ensuring the timely passage of the bill being the main thrust of their submissions.
The Nigerian President had presented the proposed budgetary estimate of the tune of 10.33 trillion Naira before the joint session of the Nigerian Parliament.
Speaking with Galaxy’s Godfrey Eshiemoghie, the cross-section of the Senators expressed optimism that there is a ray of hope in the horizon owing to the indices contained in the estimates.
There had been so much under consideration leading to Tuesday’s budget presentation, even as the Nigerian government looks to reverting to the predictable budget cycle that runs from January to December.
