The House of Representatives has commended Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar-Bago for his transformative efforts in agriculture and infrastructure.

During a session, Ikorodu Federal Constituency Member, Babajimi Benson highlighted Bago’s contributions to food security, infrastructural development, and religious tolerance. He shared that a Harvard-educated Cameroonian military general had also praised Bago’s leadership.

Saidu Abdullahi, a lawmaker from Niger State, noted that Bago allocated 250,000 hectares to sugarcane cultivation, positioning the state as a key player in national food security. He emphasized that the governor’s initiatives are elevating Niger State status, with bipartisan support reflecting Bago’s inclusive governance.

Governor Bago, a former House of Representatives member for Chanchaga Federal Constituency, continues to make significant strides in advancing Niger State's development.
