The Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority, NEPZA, is demanding the prosecution of those behind the looting and vandalism of the Tinapa Free Trade Zone during the EndSARS unrest.

NEPZA’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr Martins Odeh, made the call during a media tour of the facility in Cross River State.

Odeh said key infrastructure, including the Tinapa Hotel and Light Rail project, were extensively vandalised, causing huge economic losses.

He lamented that six years after the incident, no one had been prosecuted, insisting that those responsible must face justice.

Odeh said Tinapa remains a major economic asset capable of driving tourism, investment and job creation, expressing optimism that the facility can be revived through collaboration between the Federal and Cross River State Governments.

He also appealed to investors to return, assuring them that security has improved and efforts are underway to revitalise the zone.
