Some Senators have started reacting to the suspension order of President Muhammadu Buhari and investigation into allegations made against Secretary to Government of the Federation David Babachir Lawal, in award of contracts under Presidential Initiative on North East (PINE).

These Senators who commended the decision of the President said that the suspension has concurred with the Senate Interim report on North East Humanitarian crisis.

Correspondent OnuoraAninwobodo reports that one of the Senators and one time Governor of Kebbi state Adamu Aliero said that he is very happy with the development.

On his part, Senator representing Yobe South and a member of the Senate Ad hoc committee that investigated the mounting humanitarian crisis in north-east, Mohammed Hassan said that the committee is still investigating the allegations.

He expressed surprise on the President's directive and promised that the committee will submit its final report soon.
