Plateau State is boiling over the mass massacre in Angwan Rukuba Community by terrorists on Palm Sunday. Residents of the state have defied the curfew proclaimed by the Governor and have taken to the streets in protests.
Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang had proclaimed a 48-hour curfew in the Jos North Local Government Area, after pogrom in Angwan Rukuba community - essentially, the Gari Ya Waye area - in Jos North Local Government Area, on Palm Sunday.
The Plateau State Police Command had acknowledged that 12 persons were killed, who include 10 men and 2 women, ion the attack.
However, the locals from the Berom Youth Moulders Association, BYM, disagreed with the figures given by the police. They said casualty has risen to 27, saying 14 persons were killed on the scene, while 13 died in the hospital.
