Few hours after he assumed office as the eight civilian governors in Oyo state, Engr. Seyi Makinde has dissolved all local government authorities and local council development authorities with immediate effect.
According to a statement issued by the Chief of staff to the governor, Olabisi Ilaka and made available to Galaxy news in Ibadan, the governor further directed that all local government chairmen are to hand over to their heads of local government authorities or the most senior directors in their council areas.
Also, Engr. Makinde has dissolved all boards of parastatals and corporations across the state while he has placed an embargo on all local and state government accounts until further notice.
