In the wake of attacks at police posts in Nigeria’s southeast, a senator from that section of the country insists that the attacks are being carried out by armed herdsmen.
Ebonyi Central Senator, Obinna Ogba, while addressing Senate Correspondents in Abuja Wednesday said the extent of the carnage inflicted in his home state of Ebonyi and other neighbouring states is indicative of this.
Agreeing that there had been longstanding communal clashes among his constituents, the lawmaker maintains that strangers who are out with a vengeance have overrun parts of the southeast.
Senator Obinna Ogba stressed with confidence that it is the turn of the southeast to have Nigeria’s next president.
