Worried by the spate of insecurity in some parts of Oyo State and the threat by kidnappers, the State Government has inaugurated the state security task force.
The task force chaired by Governor Seyi Makinde has the mandate to liaise with all stakeholders including traditional rulers towards curtailing threat to human lives across the state.
Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that Governor Seyi Makinde in his inaugural speech said the inauguration of the task force is necessary following the threat of kidnappings and other forms of insecurity in some parts of the state.
Makinde, who disclosed that the team will be meeting as the situation demands stressed that all hands must be on the deck towards ensuring the safety of all residents of the state.
