The commissioner of Police in Bayelsa State, CP Ajao Adewale; and the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, led a Joint Force on clearance of inter-state borders.
The CPs led the joint force in compliance with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, for clearance of criminals in border communities.
The well-coordinated operation featured intelligence-led patrols, drone-assisted aerial surveillance, bush clearance, among others, was conducted as part of the sustained efforts to contain inter-state crimes and strengthen security.
Areas covered by joint force include Oromah and Mbiama forests, Okaki forests, as well as the East West Road forests.
