The African Democratic Congress, ADC, is building up strongly for the 2027 General Elections. The party consolidates its preparations with the inauguration of a Transition Committee in Bayelsa State to stabilize its structures to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2027,

ADC Deputy National Chairman, Senator Andrew Uchendu, leading other party national leaders to the state, said the party is coming with a new approach by focusing on the people.

The ADC State Chairman in the Bayelsa, John Derrick; and the Transition Committee Chairman, Captain Mathew Karimo, emphasized on what they described as an imminent takeover by the state.

Bayelsa was predominantly controlled by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, before the defection of Governor Douye Diri to the APC.

Meanwhile, Senator Seriake Dickson, former Governor of Bayelsa, still remains in the PDP.
