Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State said on Monday that his administration has made a provision for the sum of N30million micro-credit revolving loans to 66 widows of fallen heroes in the state.

Aiyedatiwa announced this in his keynote address at the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration held at the Cenotaph, Alagbaka, Akure.

According to him, the gesture was to support their businesses to enable them to take care of themselves and their children.
The governor stress that the Micro-Credit Loan Scheme for the Widows of the Deceased Heroes, which is at zero interest rate, remains a unique programme of this administration.

He said government is aware of the various complaints surrounding this loan scheme and the poor attitude of some widows, especially towards the repayment of these loans.
