Kenyan President William Ruto and his wife, Rachel, joined family and political associates in Tanzania on Friday as their daughter, Charlene Chelagat, married Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge in a ceremony in Mwanza.
The wedding attracted attention not only for the high-profile guests but also for the presence of Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, a close ally of the President, who documented several moments leading up to the ceremony.
Charlene walked down the aisle in a white wedding gown and long veil, with her parents joining her midway before escorting her to the altar.

The President, the First Lady, the bride and her brother had earlier arrived at the venue together, walking towards the ceremony area decorated with white roses.
Sudi shared footage of Ruto's arrival in Mwanza on social media before the wedding. He also posted pictures and videos showing moments with the President at a luxury beach hotel in the Tanzanian city.
The ceremony marked the culmination of a series of wedding celebrations that began in Kenya with Charlene's traditional Koito ceremony at Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris.
The traditional event was followed by pre-wedding activities in Nairobi before the couple travelled to the groom's home region in Tanzania for the white wedding.
Charlene also held a bridal shower attended by close friends and family ahead of the marriage.
Several prominent personalities attended the ceremony, including Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and his wife.
Pictures shared online by Celest Terer, girlfriend of comedian Eddie Butita, also showed a private jet bearing the couple's names, wedding date and Mwanza, suggesting that some guests travelled to Tanzania by air.
However, official photographs of the wedding had yet to be released by State House or the couple as of the time of filing this report.
