Nigerian preacher and founder of Remnant Christian Network, Apostle Arome Osayi, has recounted an encounter with Jesus at a beach in Tanzania.
During the encounter, Jesus appeared to him, and Osayi asked for powers to perform extraordinary healings, raise the dead, and reverse autism.
He further claimed that he was instructed to send N5 million to a pastor in exchange for the powers.
Osayi said that during his next ministration on a Sunday night, he experienced another spiritual encounter.
“An angel touched me on my head; after that, five people started walking,” he said.
The claims have attracted renewed attention online amid a wider conversation around Osayi and several of his sermons circulating on social media.
Osayi's church is located in Makurdi, Benue State, with branches and centres across Nigeria and other countries.
His official biography describes him as an apostolic leader and lists signs and wonders among the ministry's core areas.
His ministry's published biography also states that Osayi had a personal spiritual encounter with Jesus as a teenager, which he says led to his calling to ministry.
