Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has opened up about the realities of marriage, saying there are days when she sees other men and wonders why she chose her husband.

The actress made the comment during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where she discussed her marriage to Captain Matthew Ekeinde.

Omotola explained that her husband understands her personality and that they do not approach marriage as something that should restrict their individual lives.

“My husband knows that I don't love him all the time. There are days that I'd see fantabulous guys, and I'd be like, I picked this one over you?”

She also said the couple doesn't treat marriage as an untouchable institution, but as a partnership between two individuals who consciously choose to be together.

“Our marriage is not that serious. We're partners,” she said.

Omotola and Matthew Ekeinde have been married since 1996 and have four children. In the same interview, she explained that their relationship works partly because they respect each other's choices, space and individual journeys.
