Born in Ilorin, Kwara State, and originally from Kogi State, RIIDM grew up in Ebute Metta, Lagos, where he developed his interest in music before pursuing a career as a recording artist and songwriter.
Beyond music, he also works as a graphic designer and video editor, skills that complement his creative activities and give him experience in visual content production.
The singer has spoken about choosing a career in music despite growing up in a religious family. His father is a pastor, making his decision to pursue the profession a significant personal choice.
RIIDM's experience in Lagos has also placed him within one of Nigeria's major centres for music production and digital creativity.
With Feel The Riidm, the singer is moving from releasing individual singles to presenting a collection of songs under one project. The release is expected to offer listeners a broader insight into his songwriting and musical direction.
