Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has sparked laughter and online reactions after telling fans during a performance in Canada that he has stopped getting women pregnant.

The singer made the remark while performing his hit song True Love at The VIP Experience show at Rehab Lounge in Calgary on Saturday, October 24.

In a video circulating online, 2Baba addressed women in the audience who appeared hesitant to sing along before declaring, “I don stop to dey give belle. I no dey do that kain thing again. Ask anyone, I’m done.”

His statement drew laughter from concertgoers, some of whom responded by chanting “Annie”, referring to his former wife, actress Annie Macaulay Idibia.

The remark also triggered humorous reactions on social media, with fans joking about the singer’s romantic reputation and widely discussed family life.

While some focused on the personal-life reference, others praised his vocal delivery and stage presence. One commenter described him as a man with “endless love in Nigeria”, while another said his stage aura was unmatched.

The declaration was not the first time the singer had made a similar comment. During a performance in Benin City in December 2025, 2Baba reportedly said he had stopped “giving belle anyhow”.

The singer, known for songs including 'African Queen' and 'True Love', has frequently attracted public attention over his relationships and family life.

His latest remark brought renewed attention to that aspect of his life, although he did not elaborate on the statement during the Calgary performance.
