There are emerging indicators security re-awakening in Nigeria as the Minister of Defence, General Chris G. Musa, ordered the military to shoot-at-sight whenever they come in contact with bandits or other terrorists.

Retired General CG Musa, at the commissioning of 62 operational vehicles and other security equipment procured by the Sokoto State Government, declared: "To all members of the Armed Forces and security forces, once you are deployed, do not wait for any order from anybody to shoot any bandit or any terrorist.

"I want to make that very loud and clear.

"Anybody who refuses to shoot or kill any bandit or terrorist in the name of he's waiting for an order, we will treat you like a bandit."
