The Police, in compliance with the order of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Tunji, Disu, on unregistered vehicles, impounded 30 vehicles for vehicle registration offences in Delta State.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Delta State Command, Edafe Bright, in a statement, emphasized that impounding of the vehicles became necessary to curb the increase in criminal activities in the state.

The PPRO said that the enforcement covered Agbor metropolis, Major highways, as well as entry and exit points in the border communities between Delta and Edo states.

The vehicles were impounded for offences such as non-display of number plates, obscured number plates and expired particulars, among others.

The Delta Police Commissioner, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, reaffirmed the Command's resolve to sustain intelligence policing and strategic enforcement operations across the state, while urging motorists to comply with all traffic and vehicle registration requirements.
