PLEATEAU: POLICE COMMAND RECOVERS 25 STOLEN VEHICLES

The Plateau State Police Command on Monday paraded suspected criminals who allegedly specialize in car snatching.

They were said to have snatched over 25 vehicles at gun point.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Nasiru Oki, told reporters that over 25 stolen vehicles have been recovered from suspected car thieves in Plateau State.

Oki said about 12 of the stolen vehicles were recovered in Akwa Ibom State, with many of them repainted.

He gave the areas of operation of the suspects are Gada Biu, Rantya and Rayfield all in Jos.

The commissioner said the success story could not have been possible without the due synergy and cooperation from residents who volunteered information.

He urged residents of the state whose cars have been stolen to come for identification.

Another common crime is that of stealing generator sets from house and companies. The police command in the state said it was fully aware of the situation and has been trailing those responsible.

 In his address, the CP Oki said they were able to recover more than ten generator set.

H commended the cooperation of Plateau for their intelligence sharing and prompt reporting of crimes to the police in t he state.

He ceased the opportunity to call for more synergy with the general public, so as to make the work of the security agent faster.
