The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun state has described the invitation of the party's gubernatorial candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke by the police as a threat to democracy.
The Director General of the Adeleke campaign group, Lere Oyewumi told newsmen at the Ede country home that the police is supposed to be neutral on all matters.
He condemned the act stating that why would he be invited after WAEC had exonerated him stating that he actually sat for the examination at Ede Muslim Grammar school.
He however commended President Buhari for his intervention in halting the invitation by the police stating that democracy should be allowed to thrive and not truncated.
