Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Founder/Chairman Goodluck Jonathan Foundation, GJF, has commended the peaceful governorship election held in Osun State last Saturday, August 15, won by incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke on the platform of the Accord.
Dr. Jonathan was of the view that the outcome of the recent governorship election in Osun State demonstrated that, despite the challenges confronting democracy in Nigeria, citizens possess the capacity to conduct elections in a manner that strengthens public confidence in the democratic institutions.
The former President, therefore, commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the security agencies, political parties and, most importantly, the people of Osun State for the peaceful conduct of the governorship election.
