The National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has again called on the Osun state house of Assembly to approve the local government autonomy in the interest of grassroots development.

The National Vice President of NULGE, Comrade Oludare Famoofo while addressing journalists in Osogbo also called for a transparent public hearing on local government autonomy without hesitation in the state.

Famoofo said voting "YES" for the bill will give room for inclusiveness, good governance, accountability and delivery of democracy dividends to the people at the grassroots.

He maintained that sensitization is being carried out to ensure Nigerians know the benefits of local government autonomy.
