The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has commended President Bola Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for what it described as significant strides in the education sector.
The NANS National President, Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, gave the commendation when the association’s leadership paid a courtesy visit to the Kaduna State Government House.
Afeez said the association was in Kaduna for an extraordinary Senate meeting and used the opportunity to inspect infrastructure provided by the state government.
He said the development showed the importance of complementing classroom education with investments in infrastructure and other areas of the education sector.
According to him, the APC-led governments at the federal and state levels have demonstrated commitment to improving the learning environment for Nigerian students.
Responding, Sani urged student leaders to remain committed to nation-building and patriotism.
The governor, who recalled his days as a student unionist, encouraged the NANS leadership to use its position to promote responsible leadership and contribute positively to national development.
