Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as KWAM 1, has drawn attention on social media after a video showed him presenting his daughter, Damilola Marshall, to Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat over her political ambition.
In the footage circulating online, the musician called his daughter forward at an event and told Hamzat, “I hand her over to you.”
Hamzat responded with laughter and gestured towards a seat for Damilola, who appeared amused by her father’s action.
KWAM 1 was also seen singing in Yoruba as he made the gesture, which appeared to be a show of support for his daughter’s bid to enter the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Damilola, a lawyer, is seeking to represent Surulere Constituency II in the assembly in the 2027 general elections.
She announced her ambition on Instagram on March 17, 2026, saying she was ready to serve the constituency.
The lawyer said her 12 years of legal practice had given her experience and insight into justice, governance and the needs of the community.
She also pledged to represent young people and said she was prepared to serve if elected.
Damilola currently serves as Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism.
The video has attracted attention as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections.
