"I have not abandoned politics," Valentine Ozigbo said in a statement on Tuesday, adding that his purpose in politics goes beyond party affiliation.
According to him, he's seeking to change the mindset of the individuals who make up both the leadership and followership of our country.
"Discernment must never become self-righteousness. If we claim to belong to the Light, our first responsibility is not to become better prosecutors of everybody else.
It is to submit ourselves to the Spirit of Truth, examine our own motives, and hold firmly to what is good.
"So before asking where another politician or party stands, perhaps the more searching question is: Where do I stand, and what in the way I live proves it?
"Truth does not bend itself around our politics, friendships, or ambitions. It is simply true," he said.
