Clergy calls for peaceful Ekiti poll
Politicians have been advised to exercise caution this time around that another governorship election is around the corner.
This charge was handed down at the Thanksgiving program held by the state chairman of The All Progressives Congress (APC) Jide Awe for the withdrawal of the murder charges slammed on him by the state government which made him go underground for over three years.
Jide Awe, however, promised that the coming election will be devoid of violence and rancour while asking all relevant agencies to also play their part in making the poll a free and credible one.
A clergyman at the event, Daniel Oyedele charged politicians to shun violence and make the development of the state a priority.
